| Made in the USA The Larson Electronics SPK-100W-1X-SBX.100-DCM Solar Outdoor LED Light is an ideal lighting solution for remote areas and standalone applications where connection to external power is either impractical or unavailable. This rechargeable system features a 100-watt LED flood light powered by a crystalline silicon solar panel with lithium-iron phosphate battery. The solar panel and LED light contain back-located adjustable brackets for mounting on surfaces. This solar powered LED light is designed for reliable illumination in outdoor and remote locations. The LED flood light offers 5,000 lumens of output with a 6500K color temperature rating. A flood beam configuration ensures wide-area lighting in the area during use. This 100-watt unit comes with dusk-to-dawn and motion sensors (16-23' motion sensing distance). A wireless remote control enables selection of the following modes: Mode 1: automatic lighting, light on as dusk and off as dawn; Mode 2: timed operation, 3/5/8 hours or on/off any time. Mode 3: half light on the basis of mode 1 or 2. The LED light is made out of ABS/aluminum and carries an IP67 waterproof rating. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Solar Panel: The LED light is powered by a 35-watt crystalline silicon solar panel. This panel with aluminum frame charges a 36,000 mAh lithium-iron phosphate battery, which has a charge time of 6-8 hours. On a full charge, the system offers 20 hours of runtime in half lighting mode. Wiring: The SPK-100W-1X-SBX.100-DCM is equipped with a 12-foot cord between the LED light and solar panel. Mount: The LED light and solar panel both feature back-located adjustable brackets for surface mount installations in outdoor sites. |
