| The Larson Electronics HAL-SP-CHR-12V-16A Charge Controller provides reliable solar battery charging with and overcharge protection. This 16 amp charge controller is ideal for 1-4 solar panel systems and operates on 12 volts. The HAL-SP-CHR-12V-16A charges batteries for up to 4 solar panels on a 12 volt system. This unit features a swtiching shunt, pulse charging, low switching frequency with input noise supression, and non minimum operating voltage so dead batteries can be charged. Also included is reverse leakage protection from a blocking diode, lightning protection, and 100% solid stage charge control. In addition to these protective features, this charge controller is also totally encapsulated and suitable for outdoor mounting with no damage to the environment. With low power consumption and a simple and rugged, low component count circuitry, this charge control station is a highly reliable unit for solar panel battery charging. |
