1901 Antique Book: Technical and General Instruction by Valentines’ School of Telegraphy, Scarce, Gazette Printing Co.
This smaller, 124 year old book is in overall fair condition for its age:
• Cover: marks/fading and wear/fraying at edges and corners
• Spine: marks and wear/fraying at ends
• Pages: some age marks, some writing in pencil, folded corners and small tears. Most pages are clean though darkened
• Edges: age marks and darkening
• Measures approximately 6” x 3.75”
A rare and fascinating glimpse into the inner workings of Western Union telegraphy, including circuit rules, tariffs, press dispatches, and detailed forms used by the Valentines’ School of Telegraphy in Janesville, Wisconsin. Seventh and Revised Edition, printed in 1901.
