This is a vintage DeForest of California relish jar from the 1950s.
The hand-painted ceramic jar is anthropomorphic, designed to look like a hamburger with a face.
The lid has the word "Relish" written on it and is topped with a green piece representing a pickle.
DeForest of California was a line of whimsical ceramic kitchenware known for its anthropomorphic designs.
The jars are considered collectible items from the mid-century kitsch era.

The Onions container is from the same era, however, unmarked.
What cool, collectible finds in great condition!
