Billikens were often carved from tusk or bone by the Inuit of Alaska. However, this Billiken tie tack appears to be made of celluloid, as faint markings are visible on the base consistent with celluloid. The pin is marked 1/20 12K GF, measures about pin ⅜” x ⅝”, good vintage condition.
The billiken is a mythical good luck charm.
