This is a Crye AVS1000.
It's brand new, imported directly from the US.
It can be connected to a Crye JPC or similar with a cummerbund, and used as a rear panel to hold plates. This solves the problem of annoying backpacks when wearing a plate carrier, and also prevents the backpack's shoulder straps from getting in the way when shooting.
Recently, the SAS in Nairobi have been using them.
