| Made in the USA The EPL-EMG-EXT-3W-EMB-16IN Explosion Proof LED Exit Sign with back up emergency ballast from Larson Electronics is rated  Class 1 Division 1 Class II Division I & II and is an ideal emergency exit marking solution for hazardous locations where failsafe reliability is a must. The exit sign is mounted to walls or flat surfaces via an aluminum end mount bracket which extends the fixture 16 inches from the wall. The EPL-EMG-EXT-3W-EMB-16IN is an effective option for operators who wish to ensure their hazardous work spaces employ the most up to date and reliable means of marking emergency exit-ways available. Under normal conditions this emergency exit lamp uses normal external power to illuminate its 3 watt LEDs. In the case of power outages or in any situation where power is interrupted, this unit automatically switches to a battery backup which will power the unit for three hours or until power is restored. This emergency exit marking fixture is explosion proof and carries an integral battery backup power supply. When external power is cut due to outages or accidents this lamp automatically switches to its battery backup which will power the lamp for three hours, longer than the requirements specified in the NEC. The EPL-EMG-EXT-3W-EMB-16IN sign panel is edge illuminated by LEDs and as a result draws only 3 watts of power and has an extreme LED luminary lifespan rated at 25 years. This fixture is approved for outdoor use and is resistant to saltwater making it suitable for use in marine environments.
The unit is multi-voltage capable and can operate with 120V-277V/ 60HZ. This fixture can be pendant mounted, end mounted or wall mounted and is constructed of copper-free aluminum. The mounting bracket extends the fixture 16 inches away from the wall. The LEDs in this unit produce very effective panel illumination that will be visible through smoke or obstructions making identification and location of exits in emergency situations easier than with typical self illuminated exit markers.
