| The EPS-2XPB-PTM.5K-MOD1 from Larson Electronics is an Explosion Proof Push Button Switch with Potentiometer that is suitable for motor and electrical control in flammable work sites. The 10-amp device features a robust potentiometer with 1-5k Ohms resistance for up to 2 watts at 32V DC, which can be set using a rotary dial. This NEMA-rated unit is constructed of non-sparking aluminum and takes on a double-gang box configuration. This unit has 4 contacts: (1) Normally Closed and (1) Normally Open on the start button, and (1) Normally Closed and (1) Normally Open on the stop button. The EPS-2XPB-PTM.5K-MOD1 designed for use in Class I, Divisions 1 & 2; Class II, Divisions 1 & 2; and Class III, Divisions 1 & 2 facilities. Rated at 10 amps, this explosion proof unit accepts currents ranging between 120-277 V AC. The device features a pontentiometer with 1-5k Ohms resistance for up to 2 watts at 32 V DC. Operators can make adjustments to the instrument using a rotary dial. The unit has momentary stop/start push buttons which allows locking of the ON/OFF position. The stop and start push buttons both include (1) Normally Closed and (1) Normally Open contact, for a total of 4 contacts. The EPS-2XPB-PTM.5K-MOD1 is constructed of non-sparking aluminum and is triple coated. The lever is connected to a threaded stainless steel shaft that passes through the faceplate. The entire unit is completely corrosion resistant and is NEMA rated. Wiring/Mounting: Operators can completing wiring and mounting via a 1/2" or 3/4" NPT hub. Termination options include dead end or feed thru. Suggested Applications: Hazardous locations, oil and gas sites, agricultural operations, grain storage, woodshops, motor control and more. |
