This is a RAID enclosure (4 Bay) - it is NOT an NAS, which means it directly attach to your computer (aka DAS). It can do RAID 0,1,5,10 as well as JBOD. You can also use each drive as a standalone. I've used it for a while but more sporadically than constantly. This is a great enclosure being an aluminum construct (very sturdy and elegant looking). It has USB-C connector with USB 3.1 protocol (fast enough for RAID0 consisting of 4 SATA 6gbps drives). It is in a great working condition. Please ask any questions before buying.
