This is the early model Slim Bootcut denim from RRL.
Although it had a limited edition label only once, it was usually only sold for one season and wasn't re-released for several years, making it almost a limited edition model. It's a very popular model.
Although it's a bootcut, it's almost a slim fit, and the knees are narrowed, with only a slight flare at the hem.
A major feature is the selvedge.
Because the hem curves and flares, no other manufacturer can add selvedge to bootcut jeans. RRL was able to produce selvedge bootcut jeans with a subtle curve and precise stitching.
Also, while the most recent models have flashy stitching on the front and back pockets, this model, like the slim fit, has no stitching.
Furthermore, the earliest models have elaborate details, such as the waistband being folded under like a high-end tailor's, and triangular stitching at each corner of the stitching.
The fabric is also truly wonderful, completely different from the current ones, with a crisp feel and luster, and it's from an era where the vertical fading was genuine. The current fabric has unnatural unevenness on the surface to make it easy to fade vertically, and the fabric is stiff and lacks suppleness. Since this fabric was introduced, the red selvedge has also changed, with a single line appearing at the border of indigo and white, unlike Levi's vintage denim.
