In cooperation with the French paper manufacturer Clairefontaine, this Sketchpad was created especially for the use with water-based markers – a strong difference to the conventional watercolor papers, which are made for brushes. The watercolor paper, which consists of 100% cellulose, inhibits a strong bleeding through of the ink and has a different haptic on both sides of the sheet. Since we also care about our environment, the paper is absolutely acid-free and vegan! 

This new generation of watercolor paper is dimensionally stable even after a large area is covered with the wet inks. Contrary to classical watercolor papers, this paper does not need to be soaked in water before applying – you get a great watercolor effect even on the dry surface! The colors are applied absolutely true to their nature, since the clear white paper does not lead to any color distortion.
