Of his newest release, renowned bassist Svante Söderqvist writes of the people who helped make the album a reality: "My longtime friend Oskar Schönning, for artistic inspiration and consulting during this composing process. Saxophonist/professor Joakim Milder, who made me realize that it was possible for me to apply to a jazz improvisation master program, which has made this debut album what it is. Klas Nevrin, for great support during the working process. The Swedish government and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, for offering free, high quality education - good for me, and crucial for building a better society! My long-time musical collaborators Adam Forkelid & Calle Rasmusson, for believing in me, and for putting in many unpaid working hours to make this happen. Classical bass teachers Michael Karlsson, Valur Pálsson & Sebastien Dubé, for endless inspiration to become a better musician. Pål Svenre, for fantastic mixing work.
