Vintage Shure Brothers Ceramic Microphone CA91C Harp Harmonica. This omnidirectional microphone, with a ceramic element, was manufactured by Shure in Chicago during the 1940s and 1950s.
This mic was sold as an OEM product to tape recorder manufacturers and packaged with the tape recorder. One such tape recorder manufacturer was Crescent Industries.
The CA91C has a light milk chocolate brown, circular, plastic/bakelite case; a cloth-covered cable; and a 1/4" male phone plug connector. The grill had a cross-hatch pattern resembling a waffle. The small size and light weight makes it easy to hold while playing.
